Premal's Tips:
1. Soften the edges of the u slots with 220 grit sandpaper if there is not enough area on the button to be able to remove a little. The u slots will indent the edges of the button a little.
2. Heat area of button on stem to return it to shape. (Be careful not to burn)
3. Place the button end in first to the clamp before securing the live center. This will allow for a easier self centering of the stem.

Excellent little tool
Very helpful for repairing existing stems, or fitting them to a different pipe. I don't use molded stems often, but when I do, this little tool is indispensable. Worth its weight in gold for the convenience it offers.
